Pyth has been approved as an external distributor of Nasdaq Basic, Nasdaq’s real-time market data product for U.S. equities. The feed will be available through Pyth’s Data Marketplace, a platform for distributing financial datasets to software and blockchain-based applications. Pyth is a blockchain data network focused on market information.

Clients using the Pyth Data Marketplace can now license Nasdaq Basic directly from Nasdaq and access the feed through Pyth. They must receive written approval from Nasdaq before using the data.

Nasdaq Basic has been available for more than a decade and is used by brokerages, banks, fintech companies, and investing apps. Its addition to Pyth’s marketplace gives Nasdaq another way to distribute market data to applications built around software and blockchain infrastructure.

For Pyth, the integration expands the Data Marketplace beyond its existing data products. The marketplace is designed to let institutions distribute proprietary datasets directly to applications that need them.
