About Stable

STABLE is the governance and security token of Stable, a payments-focused Layer 1 blockchain built around stablecoin transactions. It is not itself a price-pegged stablecoin. The token is used to elect validators, vote on protocol upgrades and governance proposals, support network security through delegated Proof-of-Stake, and qualify for distributions of USDT0 gas revenue from validators. Network fees are paid in USDT0 rather than STABLE, allowing users to transact using a stablecoin as the native gas asset. This design separates everyday payment functionality from governance and validator incentives.
