METABORA, a global casual game developer and blockchain project operator, has announced a partnership with LINE NEXT, LINE's venture dedicated to developing and expanding the global Web3 ecosystem. The partnership will bring METABORA’s Web3 games to users through the Mini Dapp platform within the LINE Messenger app.
The Mini Dapp platform, built on the KAIA ecosystem, allows users to access dapps directly inside LINE without installing separate software. Since launching in January 2025, the platform has reached over 100 million users. LINE NEXT will support game distribution and marketing on the platform, aiming to expand the reach of Web3 games among LINE users.
The partnership also includes plans to increase the utility of METABORA’s BORA token within the LINE Messenger ecosystem. A payment system is being developed to let users buy in-game items using BORA, with support for Gas Abstraction technology so players won’t need KAIA tokens to pay transaction fees. This feature is expected to launch in the second half of 2025.
Both companies will also work on adding support for stablecoins like USDT in future updates. The partnership is part of a broader strategy to improve Web3 gaming accessibility and functionality across the LINE ecosystem.
