$XRP whales on Coinbase have placed large sell orders as high as $31, creating a wide range of potential resistance above the token’s current price.
Analyst CW shared an order-book snapshot showing $XRP at $1.4930, with mild intraday weakness. Trading volume stood at 21.056 million, indicating moderate activity at the time.
$XRP Sees Sell Walls Up to $31
The chart showed large sell orders starting around $5 and continuing up to $31. The orders became more concentrated between $10 and $15, while another major group appeared between $25 and $31.
Binance whale sell orders reached $15, while Coinbase whales placed orders as high as $31. In some of CW’s more recent updates, sell walls from both exchanges have reached as high as $33.
This confirms that $XRP currently trades far below the main resistance areas. At $1.4930, $XRP remains less than 10% of the way to the first major sell wall around $5.
The full range of sell orders also stretches to roughly 20 times the current price. If $XRP begins another strong rally, buyers will need to work through these layers of supply one by one.
$1.40 Buy Wall Could Support $XRP
While large sell orders sit above $XRP, the token now sees a new buy wall around $1.40. This level could provide support if the selling pressure continues. In addition, sell orders appear at every $0.10 level, which gives $XRP several smaller resistance points before it reaches the larger whale sell walls.
Futures data also shows strong bullish positioning in some parts of the market, as $XRP has struggled to move higher. Specifically, the OKX whale long/short ratio recently hit 8.16, showing a strong preference for long positions among whales on the exchange.
However, sentiment among larger traders remains mixed across platforms. Notably, smart-money sentiment stays extremely bullish on OKX, extremely bearish on Bybit, and bearish on Binance.
$XRP’s Money Flow Index also shows weaker buying pressure. The MFI fell to 35.89 from around 60, a decline from the level seen during $XRP’s earlier move higher. However, the indicator remains above 20, meaning $XRP has not yet entered oversold territory. This leaves room for further price weakness if buyers fail to regain control.
231 Million $XRP Leaves Binance
Whale activity has also produced a potentially supportive signal for $XRP. CryptoQuant data showed that whales withdrew more than 231 million $XRP from Binance in one day. The tokens were worth more than $335 million at the time, which made the move Binance’s largest whale outflow in six months.
Large withdrawals can reduce the amount of $XRP immediately available for sale on an exchange. Whales also returned to net buying after five straight days of net selling. This shows that some large holders are becoming more active on the buy side as significant sell orders remain above $XRP’s current price.
