Upbit and Bithumb, South Korea’s two largest cryptocurrency exchanges, have seen a remarkable increase in trading volume over the past 24 hours. The increased volume was particularly noticeable in major altcoins, especially $XRP.
When spot market data from both exchanges are combined, $XRP is seen to have reached by far the highest volume. On the stablecoin side, $USDT, and among the majors, Bitcoin and Ethereum stood out with high volume; while some mid-sized and speculative tokens also saw significant increases.
Here are the cryptocurrencies with the highest total trading volume in the last 24 hours, according to Upbit and Bithumb data:
- $XRP – $1.20 billion
- Tether ($USDT) – $254.35 million
- Bitcoin (BTC) – $284.97 million
- Ethereum (ETH) – $304.41 million
- Dogecoin (DOGE) – $122.38 million
- Solana (SOL) – $106.11 million
- Pepe (PEPE) – $50.86 million
On Upbit, $XRP accounted for approximately 33% of the total volume with $741.6 million. Ethereum recorded a transaction volume of $179.7 million, while Bitcoin reached $152.5 million. Dogecoin ($89.8 million) and Solana ($64.2 million) also stood out.
Strong volume growth was also seen in more niche projects such as Kite ($61.2 million), Story ($44 million), QuarkChain ($36.6 million), and zkPass ($32.3 million).
On Bithumb, $XRP also took the lead with $461.2 million. $USDT rose to second place with $209.9 million, while Bitcoin recorded a volume of $132.4 million and Ethereum $124.6 million.
Significant activity was also observed in altcoins such as Humanity ($20.8 million), Bitlayer ($20.7 million), and Worldcoin ($19.1 million).
