Upbit has announced the addition of another digital asset to its platform. The South Korea-based cryptocurrency exchange stated that the Sentient ($SENT) token will begin trading against Korean Won (KRW), Bitcoin (BTC), and Tether (USDT).

According to official information, $SENT will be supported on the Ethereum network, and deposit and withdrawal operations will be activated approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes after the announcement is published. $SENT transactions are scheduled to begin on January 29th at 5:30 PM.

Upbit has warned users to carefully check network information before making deposits. It stated that only $SENT transfers made via the Ethereum network will be supported, and transactions made via other networks will be considered invalid. Furthermore, it was reminded that the verified contract address for $SENT traded on Upbit is 0x56a3ba04e95d34268a19b2a4474dc979babdaf76.

The new listing will also implement some temporary trading restrictions. Buy orders will not be accepted for the first approximately 5 minutes after trading support begins. During the same period, sell orders below 10% of the previous closing price will also be restricted. Additionally, only limit orders will be allowed for the first two hours; other order types will be temporarily disabled. It was stated that CoinMarketCap data will be used as the basis for these restrictions.

Sentient stands out as an open-source AI network project aiming to decentralize the AI ecosystem. The project seeks to solve the problems created by AI models and datasets being controlled by a narrow group. The $SENT token is designed for use in transaction fees, staking, governance, and service fees.
