Trading volume in cryptocurrency markets increased significantly in July, reaching a total of $1.71 trillion. This figure marked the highest monthly trading volume since February 2025.
$1.7 Trillion in Volume on Cryptocurrency Exchanges in July: Highest Level Since February
Trading volume in July increased by 55% compared to June, rising from $1.1 trillion to $1.71 trillion. This volume is very similar to the $1.77 trillion recorded in February.
Binance maintained its leadership as the exchange with the highest trading volume in July. Binance's trading volume reached $683.41 billion, its highest since January's $801.1 billion. Bitget followed with $126.05 billion, Bybit with $122.3 billion, and Upbit with $110.21 billion.
This surge in trading volume coincided with a general rise in crypto markets. Bitcoin reached its highest monthly close in history at $115,644 at the end of July, gaining approximately 7.5% over the month. Ethereum (ETH) saw an even stronger 49.5% increase during the same period.
Meanwhile, trading volume on decentralized exchanges (DEXs) also attracted attention. DEX volume reached $435.3 billion in July, its highest level since January. PancakeSwap led the way in this area with $188.6 billion in trading volume.
