Everclear, a protocol for cross-chain clearing and settlement of digital assets, has secured a strategic investment from the NEAR Foundation. The partnership focuses on using NEAR’s technology to support Everclear’s goal of improving how assets move across blockchains.

As part of the deal, the NEAR Foundation will provide capital to support liquidity and infrastructure development within the Everclear protocol. The investment also reflects a longer-term collaboration between both teams to advance solutions for faster and cheaper asset settlement across different networks.

Everclear enables a system where digital asset flows across blockchains can be settled and cleared without costs, using a structure that handles flows in both directions. The protocol uses an “intents-based” model, where users express what they want to do, and the system finds the most efficient way to execute it.

Everclear will integrate NEAR’s technology stack and expand liquidity in its system to keep pace with growing demand. According to the team, many settlements now occur in seconds with transaction fees as low as 0.01%, which they say provides favorable conditions for growth.

Since early 2025, Everclear has reported increases in transaction volume and network activity. The protocol now supports over 20 blockchain networks and has recently reached $1 billion in total settled volume. It continues to onboard new decentralized finance platforms to extend its clearing services.
