Buying concert tickets increasingly feels less like competing with other fans — and more like competing with automated software.
Bots now flood ticketing systems within seconds of sales opening, purchasing massive amounts of inventory before real fans ever reach checkout. The result is a resale market that regularly pushes ticket prices far beyond face value.
Thirty Seconds to Mars is now partnering with World to try a different approach: reserving tickets exclusively for verified humans.
The initiative launches alongside the band’s upcoming A Beautiful Lie vs. This Is War European tour, where select shows across the United Kingdom and Germany will feature “Humans Only Tickets” powered by World ID verification.
Fans with a verified World ID can access reserved ticket inventory through Concert Kit, a new system designed to help artists prioritize real fans over bots and large-scale resale networks.
Tickets Reserved for Verified Humans
The rollout follows growing frustration across the music industry around automated ticket purchasing.
According to World, ticket bots can now bypass many traditional defenses including waiting rooms, CAPTCHAs, and queue systems by mimicking human browsing behavior at scale. The company points to events like Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour presale, where Ticketmaster reportedly handled 3.5 billion requests in a single day while resale markets rapidly filled with heavily marked-up tickets.
World says Concert Kit acts as a lightweight verification layer that integrates alongside existing ticketing systems rather than replacing them.
Artists reserve a portion of ticket inventory for verified humans, while fans unlock access using World ID verification before completing purchases through standard platforms like Ticketmaster.
The system recently powered a DJ Pee .Wee performance in San Francisco, where nearly 1,000 verified fans reportedly claimed tickets while more than 100,000 automated requests were blocked.
Extra Perks for Verified Fans
For the Thirty Seconds to Mars tour, every verified World ID ticket purchase will also include:

Meanwhile, the first verified fan for each participating show will receive a “Closer to the Edge” VIP Upgrade for themselves and a guest.
Participating tour dates include:

“Live music is about connection, energy, and shared experience,” said Jared Leto.
“Fans wait years for these moments, and too often bots get there first. We wanted to work with World to create something that helps protect the fan experience and gives real people a fair shot at being part of it.”
Proof of Human Is Expanding Beyond Crypto
The partnership also reflects a broader push to bring proof-of-human verification into mainstream internet experiences as AI systems and automation continue accelerating online.
World ID, originally introduced within the crypto ecosystem, is increasingly positioning itself as infrastructure for proving human uniqueness across gaming, social platforms, ticketing systems, and online communities.
For live events, the goal is relatively simple: making sure tickets actually reach people instead of scripts.
Artists, festivals, and ticketing platforms interested in using Concert Kit can apply through World’s music platform ahead of future launches.
