Gala has announced that GalaChain will become the first international blockchain to integrate with China’s Trusted Copyright Chain (TCC). This partnership opens a regulated path for Chinese users—estimated at around 600 million gamers—to access NFTs through GalaChain. Development of a cross-border blockchain bridge begins immediately, with a public release expected in the first quarter of 2026.

The project follows Chinese legal and regulatory standards, including the registration of NFTs within China. It aims to allow digital assets from the game Shrapnel to move securely between China and other markets. These transactions will use the $GALA token, with an on-chain dashboard providing public data on usage.

As part of the arrangement, Shrapnel may use a portion of its China revenue to buy back $SHRAP tokens on GalaChain, depending on market and regulatory conditions. All network fees will be paid in $GALA, contributing to broader GalaChain activity.

The system also includes features to support Chinese content creators, allowing them to track user actions and receive rewards. Each verified action will consume $GALA and update a public counter on the blockchain.

Shrapnel, a AAA first-person shooter game, is moving its in-game economy from Avalanche to GalaChain. The new setup provides faster processing, reduced transaction costs, and automatic compliance with Chinese blockchain rules.

To mark the launch, a free NFT badge will be distributed to all Gala wallets and Neon players. This badge provides early access to playtests and will be the first NFT available on both GalaChain and TCC.
