$XRP price could be worth about $100 per token at a $10 trillion market capitalization if its full 100 billion supply is used in the calculation. Using the reported circulating supply of 62.74 billion $XRP produces an implied price of about $159.

According to analysis by cheeky crypto, the difference comes from the $XRP supply used to calculate the price. A widely circulated $179.50 $XRP price target for a $10 trillion market cap assumes a supply of about 55.7 billion $XRP, which is below the circulating supply.

$XRP Price at a $10 Trillion Market Cap

The implied $XRP price changes depending on whether circulating or total supply is used.

$XRP Supply $XRP Price at $10T Market Cap
55.7 billion $179.50
62.74 billion ~$159
100 billion ~$100

The basic calculation is:

$XRP price = Market capitalization ÷ $XRP supply

At a $10 trillion market cap, dividing by 62.74 billion $XRP gives approximately $159 per $XRP. Using the full 100 billion $XRP supply gives approximately $100 per $XRP.

Where the $179.50 $XRP Target Comes From

The $179.50 figure has been linked online to Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and a potential $10 trillion $XRP market capitalization.

However, the analysis behind the claim said it could not find a verified video or transcript showing Garlinghouse making a specific prediction that $XRP would reach a $10 trillion market cap.

A 2025 clip involving Garlinghouse discussed the possibility of around $10 trillion in digital-asset custody by 2030. The discussion, according to the analysis, did not specifically state that $XRP would reach a $10 trillion market capitalization.

The claim resurfaced in different forms in 2026, including statements that $10 trillion could flow into $XRP. These claims should be distinguished from a $10 trillion $XRP market-cap forecast.

$XRP Supply Matters for Long-Term Price Targets

$XRP’s escrow system is another factor in long-term price calculations.

The analysis cited approximately 37.5 billion $XRP remaining in Ripple’s escrow, with 1 billion $XRP scheduled to be released on the first day of each month. A portion of released $XRP has historically been placed back into escrow, while the amount retained outside escrow contributes to circulating supply.

For a 10- to 15-year market-cap scenario, today’s circulating supply may therefore not be the same supply used in the calculation at that time.

Using the full 100 billion $XRP supply gives an implied price of approximately $100, making it a lower long-term calculation than the $159 figure based on the cited current circulating supply.

$10 Trillion Market Cap vs. $10 Trillion Transaction Volume

A $10 trillion market capitalization is different from $10 trillion in transaction volume.

Market capitalization represents the total market value of $XRP at a given price. Transaction volume measures the value transferred through a network or asset over a specific period.

Therefore, $10 trillion of transaction volume does not mean $XRP itself needs a $10 trillion market capitalization. The same $XRP can potentially be used in multiple transactions.

The analysis also referenced comments from Garlinghouse about approximately $16 trillion in annual payment volume associated with a business acquired by Ripple, with around 0.1% reportedly processed on-chain at the time.

What $XRP Would Need to Reach $10 Trillion

At the time of the analysis, $XRP was trading near $1.28, with a market capitalization estimated at roughly $80 billion to $90 billion.

A $10 trillion market capitalization would therefore represent a substantial increase from those levels.

The resulting $XRP price would depend on the number of $XRP in circulation at the time:

  • 62.74 billion $XRP: approximately $159
  • 100 billion $XRP: approximately $100

The $179.50 figure requires a supply of about 55.7 billion $XRP, which is below the 62.74 billion circulating supply cited in the analysis.

$XRP October Escrow Unlock

The next monthly escrow release is another supply-related data point to watch. Although 1 billion $XRP is scheduled to unlock each month, the amount that remains outside escrow is more relevant to changes in circulating supply.

For long-term $XRP price targets, changes in circulating supply can materially affect the price required to reach a specific market capitalization.

At a $10 trillion $XRP market cap, the calculation therefore gives approximately $159 using the cited circulating supply and $100 using the full 100 billion supply. The key factor is the supply assumption behind the price target, not the $10 trillion market-cap figure alone.
