$XRP, one of the leading altcoins in the cryptocurrency market, continues to attract attention with its sharp price decline. According to the latest assessment published by the on-chain data analysis platform Santiment, $XRP closed at $1, marking its lowest daily close since November 2024.

According to the data, $XRP has lost nearly 69% of its value from its peak of approximately $3.3 reached in January 2025. However, Santiment noted that despite the price drop, there has been no influx of new users into the market, which makes the current cycle different from previous periods.

According to the analytics company’s data, the average daily number of active addresses on the network reached 35,700 in August. This represents a 33% increase compared to approximately 26,400 in July. However, there was no significant growth in the number of newly created addresses per day. The average daily number of new addresses in August was approximately 2,260, remaining very close to the levels seen in July.

Santiment stated that the data showed the network activity was driven by existing users becoming more active, not by new investor influx. In other words, while trading activity in the $XRP ecosystem is increasing, the user base is not expanding.

Market experts note that the stagnation in the number of new users is a key indicator that could hinder price recoveries. They point out that historically, new investor inflows into networks accelerate during periods of strong bull run.

On the other hand, according to CoinMarketCap data, $XRP was trading at $1.01 at the time of publication. The cryptocurrency has lost approximately 4.1% of its value in the last seven days. Analysts emphasize that both network growth data and overall market conditions should be closely monitored for the short-term direction of $XRP.
