- Tezos jumped 10.2% after DeFi products launched on its Etherlink Layer 2 network.
- Analyst sees a 145% rally ahead as XTZ breaks daily resistance with rising volume.
Tezos (XTZ) is in the spotlight today after posting a 10.2% daily gain, topping the day’s gainers list. Over the past 30 days, its performance has even outperformed Bitcoin and Ethereum by a significant margin—XTZ has surged 47%, while BTC and ETH have only risen 18.5% and 30.2%, respectively.
This latest surge isn’t a one-off. There are several reasons why Tezos has regained market attention, some of which are quite convincing.
Bullish Signals and Institutional DeFi Push Fuel XTZ Rally
First, from a technical perspective, XTZ’s daily chart shows signs of continued strength. The price has successfully broken through the $0.756 level, a Fibonacci swing high. The RSI14 is currently at 77, indicating strong bullish sentiment, although it is approaching overbought territory.
Concurrently, the MACD histogram has been steadily rising since July 15th, showing a positive divergence of +0.0146. This combination reinforces the signal that the upward momentum still has room—and popular crypto analyst CryptoBull speculates that XTZ could rise as high as 145% from its current position.

Furthermore, on the development front, Tezos is accelerating its Layer 2 expansion through Etherlink—an EVM-compatibility bridge that enables broader integration with the Ethereum ecosystem.
The launch of two new institutional-grade strategies on July 16th, namely mMEV (market-neutral arbitrage) and mRe7YIELD (yield farming strategy), was a significant milestone. In just a few days, the total value locked (TVL) across these four strategies built on Etherlink reached $11 million.
Interestingly, Etherlink offers transaction finality of under 500 milliseconds. While it previously took 15 days to withdraw funds, it can now be done in just one minute.

Tezos Highlights Innovation and RWA Focus at TezDev Event
On the other hand, earlier this month, TezDev 2025 was held again at the Hotel Martinez in Cannes. The annual event, themed “Catalyst,” felt like a new catalyst for the Tezos ecosystem. More than 420 attendees attended, up from 270 last year. Arthur Breitman, co-founder of Tezos, opened the event with a keynote that touched on the “Tezos X” roadmap.
One of the most anticipated parts of the event was the latest technology demos, which included solutions for gaming, DeFi, digital art, and the Etherlink hackathon held in collaboration with Encode Club.
After the event concluded, an attendee shared a summary of the discussions and presentations. One interesting point was the introduction of the RISC-V engine and rollup and off-chain compute solutions, which are said to dramatically speed up transactions.
Arthur stated that many milestones on the roadmap have now been checked off. In short, many plans that were once just ideas have now become real products.
Equally important, Tezos has now entered the real-world asset (RWA) tokenization arena, competing with big projects like Chainlink and Polygon. With proven regulatory compliance features and a constantly developing infrastructure, it’s no wonder Tezos is starting to attract institutional attention.
