A market pundit and crypto founder has predicted what the XRP price could rise to a year from now should Bitcoin record a 2x gain.
The recent price prediction came from Zubic, founder of the NFT project Space Riders, in which he set price targets for the top 7 crypto assets by market cap, excluding stablecoins and TRON (TRX). His projections come when bullish sentiments have picked up, as the broader market spikes to new heights.
Specifically, Bitcoin (BTC) recently claimed a new all-time high above $123,000 before retracing to settle at $120,000, while XRP has decisively reclaimed the $3 price mark despite still trading below its 2018 all-time high.
Interestingly, this represents the height of the daily candle XRP recorded on April 2, 2017, its highest intraday close in history. For context, The Crypto Basic recently confirmed that XRP began that day with $0.0220 but closed with a price of $0.0615. We assessed during the time of the report that XRP would hit $8.76 if it replicated a similar 179% daily candle gain.
However, with the XRP price having increased to the current level of $3.58, a 179% rise from the current level would push it to $10. Notably, Zubic is not the only market commentator calling for an XRP run to $10. Last month, analyst EGRAG projected XRP could rally to $10, using several indicators such as the Gaussian Channel, the Kangaroo Pattern, and EMAs.
Despite the impressive gains that could come from an XRP surge to $10, several community figures believe this price is modest, and XRP could do much better. For instance, Edoardo Farina, who leads social adoption at XRPHealthcare, suggested that any investor who sells their XRP bag at $10 will be making a lifetime mistake.
Predictions for Other Altcoins
Meanwhile, besides XRP, Zubic also set price targets for Ethereum (ETH), BNB, Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Cardano (ADA). While he sees SOL hitting $500 a year from now, marking a 177% rise from the current $180 value, Zubic expects ETH to drop to $2,500, a 30% collapse from its $3,500 price at press time.
Moreover, the market commentator sees BNB rising 104% from the current price of $733 to $1,500, and DOGE surging 757% to $2. Nonetheless, he is bearish on ADA, predicting an 82% crash to $0.15.
