Eric Trump denied that anyone was launching a new Trump-linked coin on Saturday, calling contrary claims fraudulent as $TRUMP and $MELANIA posted double-digit gains over 24 hours.

“What a joke… This is absolutely not true,” Trump wrote on his Blue-checkmarked X account. “No one is launching any kind of coin. If anyone is suggesting otherwise, it’s a fraud.”

Trump’s post quoted a Whale Scan message published at 2:39 p.m. ET that declared, “DONALD $TRUMP IS OFFICIALLY ABOUT TO LAUNCH HIS NEW COIN.” The message did not cite an announcement or identify a ticker or contract address for the alleged new coin.

Rumor Offered No Launch Details

A separate X post at 3:03 p.m. ET claimed that a fresh Robinhood Chain wallet had received 290 ETH and was interacting with “WWW / ‘Truth Coin’ contracts.” The post’s text did not name a wallet address or establish who controlled the wallet.

The two posts supplied the substance of the circulating claim: an imminent Trump coin launch and unexplained contract activity on Robinhood Chain. Neither post contained an announcement from Trump, Robinhood or a named token issuer. Eric Trump’s response rejected the central launch claim rather than addressing a particular ticker or contract.

CoinGecko’s $TRUMP page listed the token at $2.47, up 37.9% over 24 hours, with a range of $1.79 to $3.60. $MELANIA’s page listed $0.1112 and an 18.4% gain, with a 24-hour range of $0.09085 to $0.1614.

Both tokens were below their listed 24-hour highs. The market data showed the size of the moves while the launch claim circulated, but did not identify their cause. The only direct statement from Eric Trump was categorical: “No one is launching any kind of coin.”
