As the bullish trend in the cryptocurrency market strengthens, the transactions carried out by large whales have also begun to attract attention. On-chain data shows that hundreds of millions of dollars worth of positions have been opened and closed in Bitcoin ($BTC), Ethereum ($ETH), and Hyperliquid ($HYPE).
A whale, reportedly linked to Matrixport, closed a long position of 40,000 $ETH worth approximately $100.5 million, making a profit of $9.9 million. The investor reportedly still holds long positions of 80,000 $ETH worth approximately $201 million and 500 $BTC worth $39 million. The unrealized profit on these open positions is approximately $22.9 million. It was noted that the whale had previously been in a total loss of $92.5 million, and with these recent transactions, their positions have turned into a profit of approximately $32.8 million.
On the Hyperliquid side, it has been reported that the whale known as loracle.hl has lost over $70 million from $HYPE transactions in the last three months. The whale currently holds approximately 685,744 short positions on $HYPE worth about $54.88 million. It is stated that these positions are at risk of liquidation if the $HYPE price rises to $101.15.
Machi Big Brother, who frequently makes headlines in the market with his highly leveraged trades, was also among those who benefited from the recent surge. The investor, who reportedly experienced liquidation approximately 500 times previously, increased his capital from $152,000 to $12.72 million in just three days. Thus, it was calculated that Machi made a profit of over $12.5 million in a short period.
Despite $HYPE reaching a new all-time high, Multicoin Capital’s token transfers are also attracting attention. The company reportedly deposited a total of 427,422 $HYPE into Coinbase Prime over the past three days. The total value of these transfers was approximately $31.74 million. The transfer of such a large amount of tokens to an institutional trading platform is being closely watched in the market for potential selling or portfolio management activity.
On the Bitcoin side, sales by a large, anonymous investor stood out. In their latest transaction, the whale sold approximately 2,700 $BTC worth about $211.8 million. This brings the total Bitcoin sales by the investor in just three days to 7,700 $BTC. The total value of these transfers is estimated at approximately $576.6 million.
