General Updates

Neo X released v0.6.1, a recommended upgrade for all node operators. The release delivers beacon synchronizer fixes, improved status checks, Continuous Integration migration, and a correction to an irregular dBFT pool metric. It also scheduled the Osaka fork to activate on MainNet at block height 1,782,700,000.

COZ distributed 667 $NEO across five ecosystem contributions in round 2.8 of Proof of Working 2.0, recognizing work on contract artifact management, community coordination, dApp onboarding templates, NeoFS storage tooling, and Python SDK maintenance. The distribution brings the cumulative total to 5,079 $NEO awarded across eight rounds since the program’s January relaunch.

nDapp released a weekly N3 $GAS check-in, noting that network users claimed approximately 55,046 $GAS over the past week and that on-chain activity burned about 223 $GAS.

Frank Coin hosted a Neo trivia contest on Telegram, rewarding participants with 100 FRANK tokens for the top player and 40 FRANK tokens for ten players selected at random.

NNT hosted a GasBot Trivia round where participants competed for a pool of 4 $GAS rewards.

Developer Updates

Neo SPCC released NeoFS SDK Go RC 20, which brings new features from API 2.24.

Former Neo Core developer, Chris Schuchardt, released a new draft NEP for Contract Owner Standard. The proposal is to build a standardized Contract Owner interface for smart contracts on Neo N3 and N4. The standard defines public methods to retrieve the current owner GetOwner, transfer ownership SetOwner, and emit notification events on changes, letting dApps, explorers, wallets, and indexers verify and monitor ownership consistently. Building on NEP-15 and NEP-17 and using Runtime.CheckWitness for authorization, the proposal is lightweight and backward-compatible, requiring no protocol changes, and is now open for community and core-dev feedback.
