San Francisco — In a major leap for decentralized finance, Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) is now officially live on Solana mainnet.
—
It’s a landmark moment: the first non-EVM chain to support CCIP v1.6, and one that bridges Solana’s unmatched performance with Chainlink’s battle-tested infrastructure—already trusted to secure over $20 trillion in transaction value across Web3.
Solana now joins the CCIP-connected universe of chains including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, BNB Chain, Optimism, and Sonic, opening the doors to seamless cross-chain token transfers and messaging at institutional scale.
“Launching CCIP on Solana is a pivotal milestone... It lays the foundation for an asset-rich ecosystem that attracts institutional capital, deepens liquidity, and expands the footprint of tokenized RWAs."
Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs
$17B in Cross-Chain Assets Enter Solana
At the core of the integration is the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) Standard, which allows developers to bring CCIP-enabled assets directly into the Solana ecosystem. The result? A massive pipeline of value entering the network.
Projects like Solv, Backed Finance, Shiba Inu, and more are expanding to Solana via CCT. New partners joining the wave include Maple Finance, ElizaOS, The Graph, Pepe, and Zeus Network, representing a collective market cap of over $17 billion.
“Interoperability is key to the future of DeFi… and Chainlink’s CCIP and CCT standard are uniquely positioned to deliver it."
Joe Flanagan, Co-Founder at Maple Finance
AI Agents, RWAs, and the Next Era of Onchain Utility
This upgrade isn’t just about tokens—it’s also about programmability and AI. Solana-based projects like ElizaOS are leveraging CCIP to enable autonomous AI agents to move value across chains in real time.
“This brings us closer to a future where AI agents can coordinate and transact across ecosystems."
Shaw Walters, Founder of ElizaOS
The CCIP v1.6 upgrade also delivers lower fees and faster scalability, making it easier to integrate hundreds of new chains and applications. Solana devs can begin building today via Interport and, soon, apps like OpenOcean, Transporter, and XSwap.
Chainlink x Solana: Building on Momentum
The CCIP launch builds on Chainlink’s existing footprint on Solana, where its Price Feeds have been live since mid-2022 and Data Streams rolled out in late 2024. Already, top Solana protocols like GMX-Solana and Kamino Finance rely on Chainlink’s oracle infrastructure.
Now, with CCIP live, these projects—and many more—can scale into a cross-chain future with secure, seamless access to multichain liquidity.
