Parity Needs More Time For Ethereum Proposals, Istanbul Fork Postponed
28 August 2019 11:15, UTC
Parity, the blockchain infrastructure company that manages the core of the Ethereum network, is postponing the planned hard fork until September 6, EtherWorld founder Pooja RANJAN reported following Ethereum Core Devs Meeting 69.
Wei TANG, the developer of Parity, claims that the organization needs two more weeks before the team starts choosing the block number for the Istanbul fork:
“We need time till 6th September to finish the implementation. Not only because we accepted EIPs late but right now we just happened to be a large code base refactoring and we probably want to merge them first before merging Istanbul EIP.”
