ETH2 Confirms Launch On December 1: Enough Staking Amount

Ethereum 2.0 has enough ETH to launch Phase 0. For the proof-of-stake at least 16 384 validators were needed and the total amount of 524 288 ETH had to be placed.

The balance of the deposit contract has exceeded the established amount. At the time of this writing, new amounts have been achieved of 586 784 ETH and 18 333 validators, respectively. There is a week left before the start of the Phase 0 of Ethereum 2.0.

Ether is currently above $616, the highest level since 2018, after rising nearly 33% over the past week.
