Andreessen Horowitz, a venture capital firm that has heavily invested in the crypto industry, is looking to raise $4.5 bln for new crypto funds, according to the Financial Times.
The firm told investors it intends to raise $3.5 bln for a crypto venture fund and $1 bln for a standalone fund focused on seed investments in startups from the digital asset space.
Raising of investments is planned to be completed by March. If successful, this would surpass the $2.2 bln the firm raised in June for Crypto Fund III, then the largest in the industry. Most of the investments have already been directed to various projects. In November, Paradigm set a new record for investments, raising $2.5 bln.
